Ben Jacobs has told The Football Terrace that Liverpool were the team showing the most interest in Moises Caicedo in mid-August, but a change of agent played a role in no move taking place.
The Reds, of course, only managed to strengthen their midfield ranks on the final day of the summer window. Arthur Melo arrived on loan from Juventus.

‘They made enquiries’
It will come as no surprise to Liverpool fans that Arthur did not appear to be their top target before the window shut. In fact, the Reds were ready to try and sign one extremely exciting Premier League player.

“Caicedo actually changed agents mid-window. It’s quite a problematic move as Liverpool found when they made enquiries. They were the club really in mid-August looking at Caicedo the most aggressively as I understand it,” he told The Football Terrace.
“But they were not able to get a deal done and it was quite difficult when the agent changed to actually negotiate and finalise anything.”
Liverpool the team showing most interest in Caicedo
Caicedo has shone in the early stages of this campaign. And it does appear that he is destined to be yet another transfer success story for the Seagulls.
Should his ‘fantastic‘ current form continue, he is unlikely to be at the Amex Stadium for a really long time. And Liverpool will surely be amongst a host of clubs who will continue to monitor him in the months ahead.
With Klopp needing to address the midfield situation as soon as possible, Liverpool’s interest in Caicedo is surely something to keep an eye on.
