Paul Merson has now shared his prediction for Liverpool’s monumentally important trip to face Fulham down at Craven Cottage today.
Having bowed out of the Europa League on Thursday, Jurgen Klopp now only has one more chance to add to his Liverpool trophy collection.
And the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk in particular will really need to show all of their experience in these final games.
Liverpool need six wins, there’s no two ways about it.
It was previously considered that Klopp’s team had the ‘easiest’ of the three run-ins, if it can ever be that straight-forward at this stage.
But Liverpool now need to try to make it look that way at least, and Salah will know that he needs to do more.

That being said, Marco Silva’s side, who have beaten both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur at home this season, will be no pushovers.
Paul Merson thinks Liverpool will struggle to beat Fulham at Craven Cottage today
Unlike last week, Jurgen Klopp’s team will play in the late kick off today, a small amount of added rest after Thursday’s trevails.
And with that in mind, Paul Merson has just shared his score prediction for today’s big clash over on X.
The pundit was replying to a fan and simply said: “I’m going for 1-1.”
Of course, as well as focusing on their own performance, Liverpool will also need to be mindful of red-hot Rodrigo Muniz.
Three games without a goal is now something of a barren run for the Brazilian who has been so immense of late, perhaps showing Darwin Nunez how it’s done.
And with Fulham having five games left this season, Muniz will be determined to prove that his form is more than just a ‘purple patch’.
Liverpool haven’t won at Craven Cottage since 2019
Heading into this 4:30pm kick off, the historical meetings between Liverpool and Fulham do actually back up Paul Merson’s prediction.
Liverpool haven’t beaten Fulham in their last three visits to Craven Cottage in all competitions.
Their last win, 2-1 in 2019, came by way of goals from Sadio Mane and James Milner, who won the game from the penalty spot.
And Liverpool fans may also be interested to remember that it was actually Ryan Babel who scored the equaliser for the home side.
All that being said, a Portuguese journalist has just provided an update on Liverpool’s pursuit of Ruben Amorim.
