Fabrizio Romano has shared whether he believes that Mohamed Salah will make a decision on his future before the summer and before Liverpool have announced who will succeed Jurgen Klopp as their next manager.
There are a number of question marks hanging over Anfield heading into the summer.
Of course, Jurgen Klopp brought the football world to a standstill in January by announcing that this season will be his last as Liverpool manager.
There is a chance that Klopp may not be the only major figure to leave Merseyside in the coming months. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah are all out of contract at the end of next season (The Athletic).
Van Dijk has spoken out about his future since Klopp’s announcement. But losing any of the trio would be a massive setback for the Premier League title contenders.
Fabrizio Romano suggests when Mohamed Salah will make decision on his Liverpool future
Salah has been impressive and scored 17 goals in the top-flight this season, even if his recent form has been questioned.
Liverpool rejected a £150 million bid from Al-Ittihad for Salah in the final days of the previous summer transfer window, as reported by BBC Sport.

So it would be little surprise if further offers came in for Salah this summer. And some may be wondering if the forward may see the end of this season as the right time to move on with Klopp leaving.
But speaking to The Debrief, Fabrizio Romano suggested that Salah is not going to rush into a decision while Liverpool have not announced their next manager.
“No, I don’t expect him to decide before,” he said. “I think Salah will take some time to understand what’s next with Liverpool. I think it’s not just about Saudi. It’s normal for important players to wait and to see what the club wants to do in terms of project, manager and all the ideas they have for present and future. So when you are a player like Mo Salah, it’s a completely normal process. He’s waiting, van Dijk is waiting, all the players are now waiting to understand what’s next.
“I’m also hearing that Mo Salah is really happy at Liverpool. He’s being super professional. He’s never creating any issues, even in the final days of the summer transfer window when they received a really big proposal from Saudi. He was always super, super committed and professional. So I don’t see Mo Salah deciding before honestly.”
Forward could hand Reds’ next boss a big boost
It would certainly be a big boost to Klopp’s successor if they can call upon Alexander-Arnold, van Dijk and Salah.
Liverpool have returned to the title conversation this year. And Salah is in with a chance of enjoying his second best Premier League season this year. So he is far from being done at the very highest level.
The Reds will have to plan for life after Salah at one stage.
But with Klopp’s departure coming up this summer, there will surely be plenty inside Liverpool who do not want to lose anymore key figures in the coming months.
