‘I’ll pick’: 23-year-old attacker says £34m Liverpool player is better than Heung-Min Son

Mohamed Salah and Heung-Min Son have quietly been two big rivals in the modern Premier League era.

Both players are two of the most potent goalscoring forces of the past decade, and while they’re not often directly compared, they have very similar career paths.

Both men played key roles in that 2019 Champions League final run for both Liverpool and Tottenham, while their international careers for Egypt and South Korea mirror one another very well.

Speaking to Goal, MLS striker Jordan Adebayo-Smith has been discussing both players, and he was asked to pick who he thought was the better attacker.

The 23-year-old struggled to separate the two, but, ultimately, he decided that Salah was the better player.

Mohamed Salah is better than Heung-Min Son

The Minnesota United striker spoke about Son and the £34m Liverpool man.

“Mohamed Salah or Heung-Min Son?” Adebayo-Smith was asked.

“Oh wait, slow down, Salah has that quick shot, but Son dribbles, I’ll pick Salah,” Adebayo-Smith Said.

Both legends

Son and Salah are two of the best players to ever play in the Premier League, and regardless of which player you prefer, it has to be said that both men are just incredible.

For our money, Salah does just about edge this argument. His record speaks for itself, he’s scored more goals than Son in fewer seasons, and he has the trophies to boot.

However, that isn’t to say that Son isn’t a world-class player in his own right, and he deserves recognition as perhaps the best left-winger of this modern Premier League era.

Both players are truly brilliant, and while we could debate which player is better until the cows come home, it’s better to just appreciate both men for their incredible talents and what they have done for Spurs and Liverpool respectively over the years.
