Kalvin Phillips has paid tribute to his England teammate Jude Bellingham, who is a transfer target for Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Reds are apparently working the hardest to sign the Borussia Dortmund man, as they look to overhaul their midfield.
Pep Guardiola has signed a new deal at the Etihad Stadium, and landed Erling Haaland from the German giants last summer.
The decision over Bellingham’s future is for another time, but Phillips said, as per Yahoo Sport, how good Bellingham is – and he has known it for years.

He said: “I knew a few years ago that Jude would be a major part of this team, with the way he’s performed not just for England but for Dortmund.
“He’s an amazing talent. He’s one of those kids that just goes out on the training pitch, and [he] is only going to become a better player.
“We have got amazing strength in depth. I think with the players that we’ve got, there are times when you [will] miss out and not play as much.”
Phillips made the move to join City last summer, leaving his boyhood club Leeds United in search of trophies.
Injury has meant he has hardly played so far, but he will expect to be in the running for major honours by the end of the season.
Before then, Phillips and Bellingham will be looking to bring the World Cup back to England for the first time since 1966, and could potentially line up in midfield together in Qatar.
