Graeme Souness has just shared his prediction for Liverpool’s trip to face Everton in Jurgen Klopp’s last Merseyside Derby on Wednesday.
Having beat Nottingham Forest on Sunday, albeit in controversial fashion, some may feel as if the pressure is now off of Sean Dyche’s side.

However, those who know Dyche will tell you that standards certainly won’t be dropping, and his Everton side will be approaching the game with the exact same level they demonstrated on Sunday.
Liverpool, on the other hand, arrive at Goodison Park still firmly in contention to win the Premier League despite their recent heartache.
In yesterday’s win at Fulham it almost felt as if Jurgen Klopp’s side had found their ‘swagger’ again, and they certainly improved their desire to win the ball back quickly.
And with Manchester City not playing again until Thursday against Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool have the chance to go four points clear alongside Arsenal.
And with that all considered, Graeme Souness has just shared his prediction for the Merseyside Derby when speaking on talkSPORT.
Graeme Souness thinks Liverpool will have far too much for Everton on Wednesday
Souness was confident that Liverpool were the better team, and also cited the strength in depth they have in comparison to Everton.
He explained: “You have got to fancy Liverpool. I just think Liverpool still have got everything to play for.
“They are the better team. They will be motivated. They have got better individuals.

“For Everton when I watch them, it’s all effort, not a lot of guile, not a lot of craft. It’s just out-and-out effort. I just think Liverpool will have too much for them.”
Can Jurgen Klopp really leave Mohamed Salah on the bench against Everton?
Of course, Everton will be absolutely determined to spoil their rival’s title hopes, just as Tottenham Hotspur will be against Arsenal this coming weekend.
Two huge fixtures in the title-race, and it still can’t be forgotten that Everton aren’t yet safe at all.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see if Mohamed Salah starts on Wednesday as well, another sub-plot for the game.
Jurgen Klopp was justified in his decision to leave the Egyptian on the Liverpool bench yesterday – but can he really do so in the derby?
All that being said, Micah Richards has just claimed that he thinks there will be one more ‘twist’ in the title race.
