'I don't want to see it': Paul Merson says something really 'sad' has happened at Liverpool

Paul Merson has delivered his verdict after seeing something ‘sad’ happen at Liverpool recently.

The Reds are back in action on Sunday. They take on Tottenham Hotspur in a game where both teams are desperate for a win.

Liverpool have had a terrible few weeks. They crashed out of the Europa League against Atalanta and dropped points against the likes of West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace.

Jurgen Klopp is extremely unlikely to lift the Premier League title, but his players will surely love to give him a fitting farewell by winning all of their remaining games.

Merson has already predicted what’s going to happen when Liverpool host Tottenham.

The pundit has also weighed on a depressing incident that took place not too long ago.

Paul Merson delivers verdict on ‘sad’ incident at Liverpool

Liverpool have mostly had a good season.

Nobody really expected the Reds to challenge for multiple trophies, but at one point, it looked like they could end the season with four.

The Carabao Cup is in the bag already for Jurgen Klopp in his final season, and unfortunately for him, it looks like that will be all.

In their last game, Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham United. The result was a huge blow, but the biggest story to come out of the London Stadium was regarding something else.

Klopp and Mohamed Salah were involved in a heated altercation on the touchline before the Egyptian came on as a substitute.

The former Chelsea man seemed furious after the game too, claiming there would be ‘fire’ if he spoke about what happened.

Paul Merson noticed that incident and he has claimed that it’s a bit sad to see a spat between Klopp and Salah after everything they’ve been through.

The pundit wrote on Sportskeeda: “The Klopp-Mohamed Salah touchline incident was a bit sad to see. They’re both Liverpool legends, so I don’t want to see it end like this.

“I’m not aware of the exact details of the incident so I don’t want to speculate, but whatever it was, I hope they can put it past them and enjoy the rest of the campaign.”

Jurgen Klopp issues update on his relationship with Mohamed Salah after touchline row

It was strange to see what happened between Mo Salah and Jurgen Klopp last weekend, wasn’t it?

They’re both absolute legends at Liverpool, and nobody expected them to have any sort of fall out after so many successful years together.

A lot has been said about Salah’s future since, with some claiming he’s definitely leaving the club this summer.

That situation is still unclear, but the one thing that will make every Liverpool fan happy is that Klopp and Salah have put last week’s row behind them.

“It is completely resolved. It is no problem,” Klopp said in his press conference today.

“If we wouldn’t know each other for that long I’m not sure how we would deal with it, but we know each other for that long and respect each other too much that it’s really no problem.

“I think we have the right to deal with these things completely independent of any expectations from the outside. We are absolutely fine with it. It is a non-story.”
