Liverpool star Curtis Jones has heaped praise on his teammate Diogo Jota ahead of his side’s Carabao Cup clash against Fulham tonight.
The Reds go into the game with a 2-1 lead from the first leg. Jones scored the equaliser in that game, and he, along with Jota, will be hoping to have a similar impact for Liverpool today.

Liverpool signed Diogo Jota from Wolves back in 2020, and he has been an excellent player for them.
The Portugal international has scored 52 goals and provided 21 assists in just 86 starts in all competitions over the years. He always seems to come up with important goals, and he did that again last weekend against Bournemouth, where he scored twice.
Jota’s brilliance is known to everyone at Liverpool. The 27-year-old is someone who gives his all every time he is on the pitch – even when he’s not in form.
That allows him to have some sort of impact all the time, which is why Curtis Jones is a big fan of him.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Jones said: “I’m at the point now where I call him ‘the ghost’ because he’s one of them where you think he’s not involved in the game, and then he’ll pick up the ball and it’ll turn into a goal!
“I’ve been around a lot of world-class strikers from my Academy days into the U21s and then the [senior] team, and he’s right up there.
“When the game isn’t going his way, it’s quite easy for a striker to not be on the ball and not impact the game, but Jots is always in the game. Even when, say, his touch is a little bit loose and it’s not going right, the ball will bounce around the box and it’s a Jota goal, and you think, ‘Only Jots could do that!’
“To have him in the team is amazing. He’s a huge help, he always runs and when his confidence is the way it is now, there’s no doubt that in every single game he’s going to get goals.”

There was a lot of talk about how Liverpool would fare in Mohamed Salah‘s absence when he flew over to take part in the African Cup of Nations.
In what is a bigger blow now, the Egyptian has suffered a hamstring injury that is set to keep him out for a while.
Liverpool, however, have nothing to worry about because of the firepower they have, especially with Diogo Jota available. He can play across the front three and guarantee goals in every game.
The 27-year-old really is a magician, and if he has a good game tonight, Liverpool should be able to win the game without too much trouble.
