‘I am told’: Fabrizio Romano shares what he’s now heard about PSG’s interest in Luis Diaz

Luis Diaz has been at the centre of a few interesting transfer stories recently.

The Colombian has been linked with a move to Barcelona lately, while PSG are also said to be keen on signing the winger.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, that isn’t in fact the case.

Indeed, speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano has stated that he’s been told PSG aren’t actively working on signing Diaz, claiming that not everybody within the French club is convinced that Diaz is the solution to their impending attacking problems as Kylian Mbappe prepares to leave the club.

PSG not convinced by Luis Diz

Romano shared what he knows about the Liverpool star.

“Important to mention something on Luis Diaz. The fantastic winger from Liverpool is always in the rumours. We had rumours about Spanish clubs and in recent days we had rumours about PSG. What I am told guys is that internally at PSG they’re not currently working on a deal for Luis Diaz. PSG haven’t approached Liverpool, they’re not actively working on a deal for Luis Diaz. Not all people at PSG are convinced about Luis Diaz as the best candidate for their attacking positions,” Romano said.

Why not?

While Liverpool fans will be relieved by this story, we can’t help but get our heads around why this would be the case.

Indeed, we really don’t get how any club doesn’t rate Luis Diaz.

The Colombian is a top player, and he would make any team better.

Of course, he can’t necessarily provide the goals that a player like Kylian Mbappe does, but if PSG are looking for a much more holistic attacking approach, Diaz is exactly the type of player they should be after.

Luckily for Liverpool, it doesn’t sound as though PSG are keen, and Diaz should be set to stay at Anfield.
