Darwin Nunez is a real hit and miss player.
Earlier this season, it looked as though he would be a consistent threat in the Premier League this season, but, as of late, the goals have dried up a bit.
However, Nunez is still getting into the right positions and working as hard as ever, and speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Clinton Morrison has continued to back the Uruguayan.
Indeed, according to Morrison, Nunez has what it takes to become a good player, and he says that as long as he keeps getting into the right positions, the goals will come.

Morrison shared his verdict on the Liverpool striker.
“Fletch, he’s a threat mate, he will be good, he will be good. People are moaning about the chances he’s missing, but I’d be more concerned if he wasn’t getting chances, he’s getting in there and that’s the biggest thing. He’s causing problems and eventually the goals will start coming for him, he’s building up a little relationship with Salah too,” Morrison said.
One missing piece
Morrison is right, Nunez has all the attributes to become a star, but there is just one missing piece when it comes to that end product.
Luckily, if there’s anything that can easily be coached into a striker it’s that ability to finish off easy chances.
Jurgen Klopp has worked wonders with his attackers over the years, and while he’s not quite been able to make it click with Nunez so far, it may not take too long for the Uruguayan to find that cutting edge.
Nunez has what it takes to be a superstar at this level, all he needs is a bit of composure and a bit of confidence.
Fingers crossed Nunez can discover that form and help Liverpool towards the title this season.
