‘He was tiring’: Pundit noticed one Liverpool player looking exhausted against Fulham

Liverpool just about got past Fulham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

The Reds ran out 2-1 victors against the west Londoners, but they were given a serious scare by Fulham.

The Whites were in the game right up until the very end, and, for the first time in a long time, Liverpool looked to be tiring during the match.

Speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Gregor Robertson has been discussing Conor Bradley’s performance against Fulham, and he says that he noticed the right-back was getting very tired towards the end of the game.

Bradley was getting tired

Robertson shared what he noticed about the defender.

“He looks a very modern full-back, you saw Klopp embracing him at the end, the only thing is that he slid in for Willian’s goal, he dived in, and as well towards the end you could see he was tiring, I want to see more of him in one vs one situations, but absolutely, everything else he seems readymade,” Robertson said.

Can’t blame him

It’s hard to really blame Bradley for getting tired during this game.

Antonee Robinson was non-stop down that flank for Fulham during the match, while Bradley hadn’t played a full 90 minutes at this sort of level for a little while.

Bradley’s fitness is something that will need to be worked on in the coming weeks as he steps up to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold during this period, but after a few training sessions and a couple more appearances, Bradley should be more than up to speed.

The right-back may have flagged a bit towards the end of the game against Fulham, but don’t let that take away from what was a truly fantastic showing from the 20-year-old on the day.

Bradley really stood out against Fulham, and he should hopefully be able to kick on from here.
