Liverpool have a great knack of selling their players at the right time.
Sadio Mane, Fernando Torres and Philippe Coutinho are but a few players who the Reds sold at the peak of their market value only for their performances to fall off in the near future.
However, as with any club, Liverpool have made a few gaffes over the years, and this season, their decision to sell Dominic Solanke a few years ago is starting to look like a mistake.
Speaking on the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Mark Schwarzer has been discussing Solanke and his form as of late, and he says that the striker is finally showing signs of fulfilling the potential he showed at both Chelsea and Liverpool.

Schwarzer shared his verdict on Solanke.
“He’s making Solanke look like a very good player and he’s fulfilling that potential everyone thought he had at Chelsea and he showed signs at Liverpool but it didn’t quite work out there but at Bournemouth he’s been exceptional,” Schwarzer said.
Finally clicking
Solanke has, for a long time, looked like a player who had plenty of potential, and now, it’s all finally clicking for him.
As Schwarzer says, it’s taken some time, but Solanke is now looking like the exceptional player that he was always tipped to be as a youngster.
An England call-up can’t be far away for the striker at this point, and if he carries on scoring goals, he could well be on-course for a return to a top six club in the summer transfer window.
Solanke is establishing himself as one of the better strikers in the Premier League, and perhaps Liverpool are now just slightly regretting letting him go for £20m a few years ago.
Solanke is having the best season of his career so far, that’s for sure.
