Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones enjoyed a great night at Anfield on Wednesday as the Reds cruised into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
The 22-year-old Liverpool ace scored a brace to help Jurgen Klopp‘s charges run out 5-1 winners over the hapless Hammers on Merseyside.
At the end of the match, the Sky Sports cameras filmed Klopp and Jones having a somewhat animated discussion.
Sky Sports interviewed Jones and Cody Gakpo after the game and they asked the Anfield academy graduate what the discussion was about.

“It was a throw in, but it was at the end of the game so I wanted to manage the game.
“I wouldn’t have wanted to receive the ball and given it away to end the half – but it is what it is, no problem.”
Jurgen Klopp always on the ball as Liverpool prepare for big Premier League weekend clash
That’s top-level football for you. Liverpool cruised to an easy win and were flawless for the most part.
Perhaps you could look at the goal the Reds conceded as a point of constructive criticism.
But even the two-goal hero of the night gets pulled up about something he could’ve done in the game. It shows how much Klopp is on the ball.
As Jones said, “it is what it is”. He’ll make a note of it, but it’s not like it impacted on the outcome of the match in any way.
This was pretty much a warm-up match for Liverpool ahead of what is likely to be a much tougher fixture on Saturday. The Reds host Arsenal at Anfield in a 5:30pm kickoff at Anfield.
Jones was pretty much flawless in the match. Aside from scoring two very well-taken goals, the 22-year-old was superb on and off the ball and is surely a shoo-in against the Gunners at the weekend.
