Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez has been likened to Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden by Ian Wright.
The pundit, speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, says Nunez is the player who makes things happen for the Reds, like Foden is for the Citizens.
Both Liverpool and Man City won their last games thanks to huge contributions from Nunez and Foden respectively.

Wright says he’s “delighted for Nunez” following his latest heroics, suggesting that “Captain Chaos” is Liverpool’s very own Foden.
“Delighted for Nunez, because he gets so much, but he’s Captain Chaos bro and something’s happening,” said Wright.
“Something’s happening off him and again he’s one of those players, how Foden is, he’s that one for Liverpool.”
Darwin Nunez stepping up for Liverpool
It’s great to see Nunez get his flowers as he continues to go up the gears for Liverpool, turning himself into an indispensable player for the Reds.
The 24-year-old struggled in his maiden season at Anfield, but now he’s firing on all cylinders and making the difference when Liverpool need him the most.
Likewise, Foden is pulling up trees at Man City, earning plaudits aplenty for his derby heroics. Both players are having a big say in the Premier League title race.
With Liverpool, Man City and also Arsenal all in amazing form, we’re got an amazing title race on our hands. Just two points separate the third-placed Gunners from the table-topping Reds.
