David Seaman has claimed that Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is not a great finisher yet.
The Uruguay international is having a fine campaign under Jurgen Klopp. He looks much better now than he did last season, but Seaman believes he still needs to work on his shooting before he can be called a ‘great finisher’.

Liverpool signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica before the start of last season.
The 24-year-old was absolutely amazing in Portugal. He ended his final season there with 34 goals in 41 games, and that convinced Jurgen Klopp to sign him.
Nunez didn’t have an awful debut season at all. He scored 15 times in all competitions, but what led to a ton of criticism in his direction was the number of chances he missed.
The Uruguayan missed 20 big chances last season and has already missed 21 this time around. That’s probably why David Seaman believes he’s not a great finisher.
In the latest episode of Seaman Says, after Lynsey Hooper called Nunez a ‘great finisher’, the Arsenal legend replied: “He does (miss chances). I don’t know whether he’s a great finisher yet.
“I’ve seen some of the chances he has had, I’m thinking he’s taking the wrong option. Sometimes he’s going for power when he should be placing it and placing it when he should be going for power.
“There was a header that he missed that I was like ‘you should’ve done a lot better than that’. It was just a little flick header that went wide of the post.
“He’s a good finisher, but I don’t know if he’s a great finisher yet. But, it looks like he’s working on it.

Darwin Nunez misses a lot of chances, but to judge him based on just that would be very harsh.
The Uruguay international has scored 16 goals and provided 11 assists already this season. He has been a real threat every time he has played, and his finishing has improved too. Luis Suarez thinks he’s one of the best in the world.
Nunez scored a brace against Sparta Prague in the Europa League last night. His first goal was an absolute screamer, and that will give him a lot of confidence.
Mohamed Salah is a great finisher and Nunez is not on that level yet. However, he has developed massively, and we’re convinced he will get there one day.
