Darren Bent has issued his verdict on Luis Diaz after admitting that the Liverpool forward would not get in his starting lineup when Jurgen Klopp has a fully fit squad to pick from.
Liverpool made a real statement with their win over Bournemouth on Sunday. Both Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota scored twice for the Reds as they sealed a 4-0 victory against one of the more impressive sides of the last couple of months.
The performance certainly silenced those who doubted whether Liverpool will be able to cope without Mohamed Salah while he is away on international duty.
Darren Bent praises Liverpool forward Luis Diaz
Liverpool have so much depth in attack. Luis Diaz started alongside the two goalscorers at the Vitality Stadium. Meanwhile, they also have Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott who can play in those areas.

“On current form, I’m going Darwin left, Jota down the middle. But I like Diaz, he’s so good,” he said.
Colombian would walk into most sides at the highest level
It has been a difficult season off the pitch for Diaz, so it is hard to be critical of his form. But it will be slightly concerning that he has scored one goal and provided one assist in the Premier League since the end of August.
In fairness, he has only completed 90 minutes in three league games this season. And his return in front of goal only tells part of the story of his campaign as he has been excellent on a number of occasions.
It says everything about how much depth Liverpool have in the final third that someone of Diaz’s quality can miss out on the starting lineup.
He would walk into most teams. And yet, you would not be surprised if many Liverpool fans agreed with Bent’s assessment.
