The kids are alright at Liverpool.
The Reds are going through what has to be described as a disastrous injury crisis right now, and while they’ve had to field a number of young players as of late, they’re getting through this period brilliantly.
Liverpool’s academy products have really stepped up in recent weeks, and now, they need to think about how to make their next step.
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football Podcast, Tim Sherwood has been discussing the young players coming through at Liverpool now, and he says that these kids already have the perfect role model at the club in the shape of Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Sherwood shared his verdict on the youngsters at Liverpool.
“It means so much to bring those academy boys through. It’s about being on the pitch like Trent Alexander-Arnold, he’s showing them the example. They don’t look like big time Charlie’s, they look like they want to play for Liverpool and that’s the be-all and end-all,” Sherwood said.
Perfect role model
Sherwood is spot on, Alexander-Arnold is the perfect role model for these young players.
Let’s not forget, just a few years ago, Alexander-Arnold was the academy teenager who as bursting onto the scene.
The right-back was a very raw player who had some impressive showings, but through hard work and dedication he managed to kick on and become one of the very best players in world football.
Alexander-Arnold is the ideal role model for any young player, and these youngsters at Liverpool are so lucky to be able to train and work with Alexander-Arnold on a daily basis.
