Liverpool hammered Bournemouth today to open up a gap at the top of the table and continue their fine work this season.
The Reds had looked good most of the game but had to wait until the second half for things to really open up.
Doubles apiece for Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota ensured a fine day at the office for Liverpool and their attacking players.
And watching on for Premier League productions, former PL striker Jermain Defoe admitted to being seriously impressed by Darwin Nunez and the energy he brings.

Nunez took both of his goals well but it was the work-rate of the striker that really caught the eye of Defoe.
“Darwin Nunez is one of those players who keep on going – he’s relentless in his running. At the moment he looks to be at his sharpest. You always know he’s going to get chances and today he got his goals – everything he did was really good,” Defoe said.
Nunez will now be hoping this gives him the platform he needs to go on a run of form to drive Liverpool to the title.
The Reds are in a good place to win the league, and with some big games to come, Nunez will be vital.
Showing his best
There’s been a lot said about Darwin Nunez but today he showed just what he has in the locker.
He was a nightmare for Bournemouth to deal with all day and the two goals he got were more than deserved.
Diogo Jota was also great on the day but Nunez was the real star of the show and as Defoe says, the way he just keeps going sums him up.
If Liverpool can keep seeing this version of Darwin Nunez, then the title is very much in their sights once more.
