Liverpool’s search for a new manager continues to be rather secretive.
Every single day we hear new reports suggesting new names that could soon be in the dugout at Anfield.
There have been a number of exciting and promising managers linked with a move to Liverpool in recent times, but, by the sounds of it, one of those managers who has been strongly linked will not be getting the job.

Speaking on The Athletic Football Podcast, Oli Kay has been discussing Liverpool’s next appointment, and he says that Roberto De Zerbi is unlikely to get the job.
Indeed, the journalist says that it’s ben suggested to him on a number of occasions that De Zerbi isn’t someone Liverpool would go for because of his personality.
“I don’t think Premier League experience is the thing. It wouldn’t surprise me if De Zerbi or Thomas Frank were on a shortlist and maybe they would be interviewed or maybe not, but I don’t think they would get the job necessarily,” Kay said.
“We alluded to this, a number of people have suggested to us that De Zerbi isn’t the type of person they would look for in terms of a personality point of view, he’s outspoken and he’s hot-headed in some ways.”
Jurgen Klopp is similar
We can understand why Liverpool don’t want to hire a manager who is so hot-headed and outspoken, but, at the same time, is that not what makes Jurgen Klopp so great?
The German has never been scared about being honest, so we’re not too on board with the idea that De Zerbi would be discounted from this race because he’s too outspoken.
Liverpool may well want to go in a different direction from here on in, but, in our view, a good coach is a good coach, regardless of how they speak to the media.
