Diogo Jota has been unbelievable for Liverpool in recent weeks.
The striker has really stepped up in the absence of Mohamed Salah and after a somewhat up-and-down 18 months for the Portuguese forward, Jota has reminded everyone in the game just how good he is.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Fara Williams has been discussing Jota’s recent form, and she’s now said that the £40m player has now truly established himself as one of the best in the business.

Williams lavished praise on the attacker.
“It’s down to that mentality, Nunez is a fantastic player, his time will come, he’s in the right area as a striker more often than not, it’s just that composure that he lacks at times. How unlucky can a player be? I think he’s hit the woodwork more times than any other player. They have this guy, Jota, I think he’s one of the best, and he’s really important to this team,” Williams said.
What a player
Williams is absolutely right, Jota is one of the best in the business these days.
His finishing is second-to-none, and he’s shown that this past month as he’s been banging in the goals for the Merseyside club every single time he steps onto the pitch.
Jota was often overshadowed by his peers at Liverpool in recent years, but with Salah out of the picture at the moment, the 27-year-old has now stepped into the spotlight and made this team his own.
Hopefully, Jota can find a way to continue this form once Salah returns because if those two can find a way to co-exist on the same pitch to the best of their abilities, Liverpool will be well on course for a quadruple this season.
