Well, Liverpool have played out a goalless draw with Manchester United at Anfield in the Premier League.
Trent Alexander-Arnold started the match at right-back. The 25-year-old played for the entire 90 minutes.
Former United player Dion Dublin was following the match for BBC Radio 5 Live, and he was impressed by the display produced by Alexander-Arnold, noting in the second half that he was doing everything for Liverpool.
Dublin said about Alexander-Arnold on BBC Radio 5 Live: “I think Klopp has realised that Trent is the man that’s going to open the door in the midfield area.
“He just roams as in there and makes things happen. He’s doing everything at the moment.”
Trent Alexander-Arnold not at his best at Anfield
In my view, Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was not at his best against Manchester United at Anfield.
It was not his best performance, but then again, we have to note that it was not the best of matches. Neither Liverpool nor United were at their very best.
Although Alexander-Arnold was not always comfortable when Alejandro Garnacho ran at him, he got the job done defensively and also made a vital tackle on the United star when he was clean through.
The 25-year-old did well for Liverpool when he moved into midfield However, he did not showcase his full passing range.
Liverpool will be disappointed that they could not win against United. After all, Jurgen Klopp’s side headed into the match as favourites and had home advantage.
