Liverpool have a knack of bringing through quality young players each and every season.
Last year was a breakout campaign for Stefan Bajcetic, Harvey Elliott emerged as a star the year before that, and the year prior to that, Curtis Jones started to make his name.
There’s no doubt about who the young star of the show has been for Liverpool this season though – Jarell Quansah has broke into the first-team, and to say that he has impressed would be an understatement.
Quansah already looks like a top Premier League defender, and speaking on Sky Sports (31/12/23 1:23PM), Clinton Morrison has been discussing the Liverpool defender while urging Tottenham to give some of their young players more of a chance.

Morrison spoke highly of the 20-year-old.
“Why not give the youngsters an opportunity? Jurgen Klopp did it with Quansah and he’s been outstanding, he has been brilliant for them, and he’s even played him ahead of Konate at times, and the young lad has looked comfortable,” Morrison said.
Exciting
Morrison is right, Quansah has been brilliant so far this season, and it’s so exciting to see a young defender making their name in this way.
Centre-back has been something of a problem position at Liverpool for some time, dating back to that 2020/21 injury crisis that saw Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams playing at the back on almost a weekly basis.
The Reds have lacked depth at the back for quite some time, but the emergence of Quansah has alleviated that issue massively.
The fact that Quansah is just 20 years old makes this very exciting. Realistically, he could still be 10 years away from being at his peak, and the fact that he has so much room to grow and improve makes him a potential superstar.
Quansah looks like the real deal, and Liverpool are very lucky to have him.
