‘He’s a joke’: Peter Crouch says £34m Liverpool player is outrageously good

Peter Crouch has been lavishing praise upon Liverpool’s Mo Salah as he’s named him in his Team of the Season so far.

The Egyptian has been red hot for the Merseyside club this season, and he’s played a huge part in Jurgen Klopp’s side’s ascension to the top of the table.

Salah has been absolutely incredible this term, and while other wingers such as Jarrod Bowen have been in great form, Salah has been a cut above.

Speaking on his podcast, Peter Crouch has named Salah in his Team of the Season, claiming that he’s been so good this season it’s a joke.

Salah has been incredible

Crouch spoke highly of the £34m man.

“He’s unreal, but Salah has got to get a shout. He’s a joke mate, he’s a joke, he’s relentless. I can’t not pick Salah in there, Bowen has been on fire, but Salah is a joke mate, he scores or creates in every single game,” Crouch said.

Standard Salah

We’ve almost become numb to this level of performance from Salah.

The winger has been this good for so long that we almost expect it, but we really shouldn’t forget just how incredible this level of performance is.

As Crouch says, Salah scores or assists in almost every single game at this point, and he’s well in the Golden Boot race alongside Erling Haaland.

Salah could win a record-equalling fourth Golden Boot this season, and if he managed to draw level with Thierry Henry on that front, that would cement his status as one of the best attacking players the Premier League has ever seen.

Liverpool have a great chance of winning the league this season, and Salah’s contributions this season have been nothing short of spectacular.

No Team of the Season would be complete without Salah in that right-wing spot, that’s for sure.
