129 Conor Bradley is making quite the name for himself at Liverpool at the moment.
The 20-year-old was called into the first-team against Fulham this week and he put on an incredible showing against the Whites in the Carabao Cup.
Bradley showed that he’s more than capable of playing at the top level, and speaking on The Game Football Podcast, Tony Cascarino has shared an interesting analysis of the young man’s performance.
Cascarino says that Bradley was incredible on the day, and he noted that he thinks he could eventually mould into the perfect midfield player for the Reds, claiming that he runs in the same way Steven Gerrard used to.
Bradley could be the perfect midfielder
Cascarino shared his verdict on this young man.
“Yeah, give Fulham full credit, they were terrific, but I have to mention Conor Bradley at full-back, he runs like Steven Gerrard, I know people get annoyed when you compare someone to Gerrard, but I looked at him and though he’s a midfielder, he’s going to play in midfield for Liverpool. He has relentless energy, he covers every blade of grass, and he’s absolutely perfect to play in the midfield position the way Klopp plays,” Cascarino said.”
Exciting
The fact that Bradley is already being spoken about in these terms is very exciting.
Of course, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard a Liverpool full-back discussed as a potential midfield option, that same conversation has been happening around Trent Alexander-Arnold for years.
Whether or not Bradley ends up in the midfield or at full-back in the future remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, Liverpool look like they’ve found another incredible young gem to give them a boost in the race for the Premier League title.
Don’t be shocked if Bradley starts playing more and more for the Reds now.
