Well, David Webb has been raving about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The Georgia assistant manager believes that the 22-year-old Napoli winger is good enough to play for Liverpool.
Webb, who has previously worked as a Tottenham talent-spotter and Ostersunds technical director, has outlined the attributes of Kvaratskhelia that make him a special player.
The coach has said that Kvaratskhelia is so good that he could play for Liverpool or Manchester City in the future.
Webb said about Kvaratskhelia on the Transfer Gossip podcast: “He’s definitely got Premier League potential, I think personally. Having worked with him closely in training to see how good he is and working with him in the six or seven matches I have had with Georgia so far.
“He is a really good character in terms of in Georgia he is the main man, they worship him as one of the players who have risen up and been successful.
“But he’s a humble man, he is married. And he wants to play in the Premier League one day, he wants to play at the highest level he can.
“So I have no doubt I could see him at a Liverpool or a City, he is that good.”
My View: Liverpool should keep tabs on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
In my opinion, Liverpool should keep tabs on Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
I do not think that Napoli will sell the winger in the final days of the January transfer window, but there is speculation that the reigning Serie A champions could cash in on him at the end of the season.
Kvaratskhelia is rated highly by former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher. Arsenal have been linked with the 22-year-old, who is on the radar of Newcastle United as well.
While the winger has not been at his best this season, we must note that Napoli as a team have not been great.
Kvaratskhelia has made 17 starts and two substitute appearances in Serie A for Napoli this season.
The Georgia international winger has scored five goals and given three assists in those games.
The 22-year-old has given one assist in six UEFA Champions League games this season.
Last season, Kvaratskhelia scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in 30 Serie A starts and scored two goals and given four assists in nine UEFA Champions League matches.
