A new era is upon Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp leaving the club and it does remain to be seen how that affects the playing squad – and Darren Bent predicted how much they would sell Alisson for.
Regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in world football, if not the best, Alisson has starred for The Reds over the years. He joined Liverpool in the summer of 2018, approaching six years at Anfield.
In that time, he has helped Liverpool win the League, the Champions League and plenty more accolades while clocking up a massive 255 games. Now 31, the 63-time Brazil man has a contract until June 2027.
Coined as “world class” by Rio Ferdinand, and considered better than Manchester City’s Ederson by Mark Schwarzer, Bent was asked how much he thinks Liverpool would consider selling Alisson for.
“He was bought for £67m. I’m gonna go with – he’s 31 years old – but goalkeepers can go on. I’m gonna say he goes for £70m, £80m,” Bent told TalkSPORT in a clip posted on the radio station’s YouTube.

Liverpool are not selling Alisson any time soon. If they were to do so, it would cost a whole lot more than predicted. Yes, he’s 31 and cost £67m six years ago, but his importance to The Reds is more than that.
Even if bids of £100m came in for Alisson – which is possible, given the amount of cash that Saudi clubs have to offer – then you’d still imagine them to reject it. He will be key for Liverpool, for years to come.
That is, even with the form of Caoimhin Kelleher in recent weeks, with the Ireland star proving he is much better than simply a no.2 behind Alisson. He is sure to attract some attention come the summer.
