ESPN pundit Craig Burley believes Arsenal star Kai Havertz would not get into Liverpool, Manchester City or even Newcastle United’s midfield.
The German has come under a lot of criticism since he joined the Gunners. He just hasn’t been able to deliver so far, and Burley now claims he’s not good enough to play for any of the top clubs’ midfield.

Arsenal signed Kai Havertz in the summer in a deal worth a mammoth £65 million (Sky Sports).
Not many people really understood why Mikel Arteta was going for the 24-year-old instead of so many other more accomplished midfield players out there.
The Arsenal boss, however, was adamant that he only wanted Havertz, and he got his man in the end, albeit for an insanely high fee.
Now, after a poor start to the season, Havertz has come under fire from many, and ESPN’s Burley has joined the party by claiming that no side will win the Premier League with the German in their midfield.
He said on ESPN: “Kai Havertz cannot play in the middle of the park for a side going for the Championship.
“He wouldn’t get into Liverpool’s side in the midfield, he certainly wouldn’t get into Manchester City’s midfield, he wouldn’t get into Newcastle’s side in midfield.
“So why the hell is he in Arsenal’s side?!”

Most of Kai Havertz’s performances for Arsenal have come as a left-sided midfielder.
On paper, that made a lot of sense, but Havertz just seems out of place in that role, which begs the question why Arteta is adamant about continuing to use him there.
Havertz looked so much better on the opposite side of midfield against Newcastle United, but we think his best position could be up front.
Arsenal are without Gabriel Jesus, while Eddie Nketiah is a doubt for the game tomorrow. Arteta should give Havertz a go in that number nine role against Sevilla.
