Mark Schwarzer has suggested that there is a Liverpool player who is capable of filling in anywhere following his performance on Sunday as the Reds secured a big win in the Premier League title race.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have secured an important three points following their hugely disappointing loss last week.
Liverpool also had to respond after Arsenal won on Saturday.
Klopp made some big calls ahead of the trip to Craven Cottage, with Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez left on the bench initially.
Liverpool star can actually play almost anywhere
And it was Trent Alexander-Arnold who opened the scoring with a moment of sheer brilliance.
The 25-year-old found the top corner with a delicious free-kick from just outside the Fulham penalty area after a foul from Joao Palhinha.
Everyone knows how good Alexander-Arnold can be when he is at his best. And Liverpool needed him to hit the ground running after the injury sustained by Conor Bradley against Crystal Palace.

“If he is fit, Trent Alexander-Arnold has to be in the squad. He can play almost anywhere. I know people may question his defending but he is talented and has to be on the plane,” he said.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is always likely to attract some kind of criticism
Alexander-Arnold is one of those who is probably always likely to attract criticism. He takes real risks in possession, and he is always looking to make things happen.
As Schwarzer suggests, Alexander-Arnold can play as a right-back, or push forward into the middle of the park. From either role, he is able to pull the strings.
He has shown how important he could be for Liverpool in the final games of the season.
And if his performance against Fulham is a sign of what is to come before the campaign concludes, the Reds have got a real chance of springing one final surprise under Jurgen Klopp.
