‘He always turns up’: Pundit says Liverpool could beat Man City because of £34m player

Liverpool face Manchester City on Sunday in what could be the decisive game in this title race.

Indeed, you don’t need us to tell you the stakes at play here. With a win, Liverpool would go four points clear of their biggest rivals, while a win here would put City in the driving seat.

This is going to be a very close game between two top teams, and it may take a moment of genius to separate these two sides.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Clinton Morrison has been previewing this game, and he says that he gives Liverpool a good chance of getting a win here because of Mohamed Salah and his knack of coming up with the goods against City.

Mohamed Salah could be the difference-maker for Liverpool

Morrison shared his verdict on how this game could go and the £34m man’s impact.

“Anyway, I want to go back to bigger matters for this weekend, I give you a great chance of winning because of having Mohamed Salah back, that must be great news for Liverpool fans, he always turns up at Anfield against City,” Morrison said.

“I’ll leave you with this. Salah has five in his last seven against City. And he’s scored 11 against them.”

Big game player

There’s no doubt about it, Salah is a big game player, and the fact he’s back fit for this one is a huge boost.

Salah has always been great against City, and the fact that this is the last time he will play at Anfield against Pep Guardiola’s side under Jurgen Klopp is that added incentive.

Liverpool will be desperate to win this one, and when the Reds get to games where they need to put in a performance, Salah, more often than not, steps up and makes a big impact.
