106 Liverpool’s young players have been one of the stories of the season.
The Reds have ascended towards the top of the Premier League while still handing out so many chances to the stars of the future.
The likes of Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones are getting plenty of gametime, and now, speaking on the Footballer’s Football Podcast, Tom Cairney has reserved some special praise for another young Liverpool player.
Tom Cairney praises Liverpool youngster
The Fulham captain spoke about his experience playing against Conor Bradley earlier this season, claiming that he totally underestimated how good the young right-back is.
“I made the same mistake with Liverpool and Conor Bradley, I was like ‘Willi get at him, he’s young, he’s fresh.’ Mate, he was the best player on the pitch, I was like ‘oh my god.’ Have you seen what he’s done this season, he’s been an absolute joke,” Cairney said.
Conor Bradley has shocked everyone
Cairney says that he was shocked by how good Bradley was, and he’s not the only one.
Indeed, Bradley has surprised almost everyone with his incredible performances this season.
It’s almost hard to believe that this young man was playing for Bolton Wanderers last term, he looks as though he’s been playing Premier League-level football for years, and the scary thing is that he still has so much time and room to improve.
Bradley is a genuine challenger for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s spot in Liverpool’s starting XI these days, and that is a testament to just how good this young man is.
Whoever takes over from Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season is very lucky as they will be joining a club that has an incredible number of talented young stars coming through right now, and Bradley may well be the best of the bunch.
