Harvey Elliott actually did something for the first time on record in the Premier League as Liverpool recorded a 4-1 win over Luton Town on Wednesday.
It was Opta who provided the information.
So, what did Harvey Elliott do during Liverpool‘s 4-1 win? Let’s take a look…
Harvey Elliott makes history
Well, the 20-year-old was absolutely everywhere as Liverpool came from behind to hammer Luton Town.
Opta wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Aged 20, Harvey Elliott tonight was the youngest player on record (from 2008-09) to score, have 5+ shots (5), create 5+ chances (7), have 10+ touches in the opposition’s box (17) and make 25+ passes ending in the final 1/3 (27) in a Premier League game. Everywhere.”

Elliott deserves praise for just dominating one of those metrics – let alone four – as the England U21 international completely tore the Hatters apart, scoring the fourth and final goal to put the icing on the cake as well.
Harvey Elliott shines for Liverpool
Rob Edwards has done a tremendous job at Kenilworth Road, and Luton Town were able to cause Liverpool some real problems in the opening 45 minutes.
That was before Elliott grabbed the game by the scuff of the neck – with Liverpool needing some inspiration in the absence of Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez.
WhoScored shows that the Chertsey-born wonderkid remarkably registered eight key passes against the Hatters, far more than any other player on the pitch managed to record.

Only Virgil van Dijk took more touches with 80.
The Dutchman later praised Elliott after full-time.
It was an incredibly mature performance from Elliott, and Jurgen Klopp will surely be delighted with his No.19’s efforts – on what could have turned out to be a difficult night.
