‘Give him £150m’: Pundit says Liverpool should go and sign 25-year-old if Salah leaves now

Liverpool are having a taste of what life without Mohamed Salah is like at the moment.

Indeed, after a few weeks away at the African Cup of Nations, Liverpool are getting a glimpse of what a post-Salah world is like, and, in all honesty, it’s not been too bad.

Liverpool are yet to lose a game since the Egyptian went away, but, of course, in time, they’re bound to miss a player of his calibre.

Salah’s absence at this moment in time may only be temporary, but come the summer, it may well be a more permanent situation.

Indeed, with Saudi Arabian clubs still circling the winger, the Reds may have to ponder how to replace Salah this summer, and speaking on ESPN, Don Hutchison has shared his verdict on what the Reds should do from here.

According to Hutchison, if Liverpool get big money for Salah, they should spend all of it on bringing Kylian Mbappe to the club as a free agent come the end of the season.

Get Mbappe

Hutchison shared his verdict on what Liverpool should do.

“If Salah leaves who should Liverpool sign?

“How much money have we got is it fantasy football? £150m? Saudi money has come in, Kylian Mbappe, free transfer, give him £150m, that’s a statement signing,” Hutchison said.

Tempting

Getting Mbappe to join Liverpool would be a very tough task, but with £150m in front of him, that would be very tempting.

Mbappe has always flirted with the idea of joining Liverpool, and maybe, with Jurgen Klopp set to leave, he’d be up for the idea of being the base for the next era at Anfield under a new manager.

Of course, such a deal would be mindblowing in terms of wages and signing on fees, but if ever there was a player to push the boat out for, Mbappe is the one.
