Liverpool will look to maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table as they embark on a tricky trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Fixtures continue to come in thick and fast for Jurgen Klopp‘s depleted Reds, but they’re ticking along very nicely in all four competitions they’re contesting.
Liverpool lifted the Carabao Cup at the weekend by beating Chelsea and followed that up by cruising into the FA Cup quarter-finals with a 3-0 win over Southampton at Anfield.
Now, the Anfield side will take on the Premier League’s other Reds, who must pick themselves up quickly after a heart-breaking late loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup.

When asked for his scoreline prediction, the Red Devils legend said: “2-1 Liverpool?”
Roy Keane jokingly said “you love a 2-1,” to which Neville reiterated: “Okay, 2-1 Liverpool.”
Jamie Carragher then followed up Neville’s guess by saying: “Forest have good attacking players, they’ll score, and Nunez and Salah are back (for Liverpool).”
Liverpool hoping for injury boosts ahead of Nottingham Forest trip
You wouldn’t think Liverpool have had to soldier on with severely depleted ranks, considering the results they’ve been getting.
The only blip the Reds have had in 2024 was the Premier League loss to Arsenal.
Besides that, they’ve convincingly won every other game in the league. They’ve also gone all the way in the Carabao Cup and reached the FA Cup quarter-finals.
In addition, they’ve scored plenty in most of those games.
Now, Liverpool could potentially welcome back a host of players for the Forest game.
The Evening Standard has floated the names of Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Andrew Robertson as potential returnees.
Let’s see what Klopp says in his pre-match presser. Hopefully there will be some good news on the personnel front ahead of a difficult game in Robin Hood county.
