Gary Neville has just aimed a dig at Liverpool fans on Twitter this morning

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has just aimed a dig at Liverpool fans following Jurgen Klopp’s admission about the atmosphere at Anfield last night.

The Reds produced one of their best performances of the season against West Ham United yesterday. They dominated the game and scored five goals, but if you just looked at the reaction of the crowd, you would assume Liverpool were losing. Neville noticed this a week ago as well, and he feels vindicated now.

Gary Neville aims dig at Liverpool fans about Anfield atmosphere

After Manchester United secured a 0-0 draw against Liverpool at Anfield last weekend, Gary Neville made his feelings known about the Anfield crowd that evening.

“This is the worst atmosphere I’ve seen at Anfield in a Manchester United vs Liverpool game,” he said after the goalless draw.

The Sky Sports pundit, unsurprisingly, received a lot of stick from Liverpool fans for those comments, but Neville seems to have woken up a happy man this morning.

That’s because Jurgen Klopp had a go at the atmosphere at Anfield last night. He demanded more support from his home fans and even went as far as asking them to give away their tickets if they aren’t feeling up for it.

Neville reposted the video of Klopp’s rant to poke fun at Liverpool fans.

He tweeted: “Those Liverpool fans having a pop at me about the atmosphere v United are a bit quiet this morning.”

Anfield will be rocking for Liverpool vs Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp rarely ever has to demand support from the Anfield faithful, but the fact that he felt the need to do that last night says a lot.

One of Liverpool’s biggest strengths is the atmosphere they create at home. It is extremely intimidating for the opponents, and that’s why no other team really has a good record at Anfield.

Up next for Liverpool is a big game against Premier League leaders Arsenal. The Gunners have a terrible record at Anfield – mainly because the crowd plays such a big part.

After Klopp’s plea last night, we expect Liverpool fans to be fully behind their team on Saturday and create an incredible atmosphere.
