Gary Neville has praised Caoimhin Kelleher after an outstanding display between the sticks for Liverpool.
Alisson’s injury meant Liverpool had to go with Kelleher in goal as they faced Chelsea in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final.
Kelleher equipped himself admirably and made a number of vital saves as Liverpool pulled out a stunning victory.
With a number of players missing and a host of teenagers on the pitch, Liverpool were up against it but Virgil van Dijk’s header deep into extra time won it.
Everybody stepped up for Liverpool and nobody sums that up quite like Kelleher.

The Irishman made a simply stunning save to deny Cole Palmer in the first half before blocking a Conor Gallagher effort after the break.
Kelleher denied Christopher Nkunku late on too with the Liverpool stopper refusing to be beaten.
Kelleher’s display sparked big praise from Gary Neville, who called his performance ‘immaculate’ whilst speaking on Sky Sports (25/02, 5:20pm).
“He’s been immaculate, the goalkeeper, he really has,” said Neville.
That certainly summed up Kelleher’s performance with Jurgen Klopp no doubt delighted with his display.

Celtic’s interest is no doubt mounting with Joe Hart now announcing his intention to retire this summer.
Kelleher may be the top choice for Celtic but this superb display makes life more difficult for the Bhoys.
More and more Premier League clubs will surely be paying attention to Kelleher after this kind of performance, sparking increased competition for Celtic to battle.
Liverpool may also be minded to ramp up their asking price for Kelleher, possibly take him out of Celtic’s budget.
Brendan Rodgers and co will have been impressed with this performance but a move to Parkhead may have just become a little less likely.
