Gary Lineker shares what he noticed between Salah and West Ham man after Jurgen Klopp spat

Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah’s touchline spat during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at West Ham United will now dominate the headlines for these coming days.

Going into the match, and post-match, many thought the main topic of conversation would be Liverpool dropping more points in the Premier League title race.

But it’s quite clear that Mohamed Salah’s angry reaction, just before he was going to be subbed on by his manager, has now got many people talking.

Few people are now talking about the fact that, days after losing to Everton in the Merseyside derby, West Ham and David Moyes probably made sure they won’t get top spot this season with that late Michai Antonio equaliser.

What makes matters worse about this whole Klopp-Salah situation is the fact that the German will leave at the end of the campaign.

There are strong suggestions that Arne Slot will take over and it will be interesting to know what he is thinking about all of this.

It’s clearly not a good look for the club and it does leave a bitter taste in everyone’s mouth, especially if it remains like this.

But, after that spat, Gary Lineker noticed what both Liverpool men did after the full-time whistle, especially Salah.

As the Egypt star was walking off the pitch, he proceeded to shake the hand of Moyes, but not his manager, as he told Match of the Day.

That’s clearly not a good look and just makes all of this a lot worse.

Mohamed Salah doesn’t shake Jurgen Klopp’s hand

“Another messy situation, a bit we saw between Mo Salah and Klopp at the end of the game,” said Lineker. “He left him out, obviously. There is clearly a spat going on here.

“He shakes hands with David Moyes and ignores Jurgen Klopp (after the full-time whistle). We can’t know (what Jurgen Klopp said to Salah before he was subbed on).

Lineker then joked to Ian Wright, who is set to leave Match of the Day at the end of the season: “That’s what happens when someone announces they are going to leave at the end of the season. I just hope we don’t fall out, Ian. I just hope we don’t fall out today, okay?! Stick with us.”

Liverpool v Tottenham

The Reds are next in action on Sunday when they host Champions League-chasing Tottenham at Anfield.

Usually, Liverpool are very strong at home, but they did suffer back-to-back defeats in the Premier League and Europe recently.

After Salah was dropped to the bench for the trip to West Ham, all eyes will be on the team sheet again and whether or not the club’s star man starts.

Everyone knows that Klopp is leaving, so he might just let it go knowing that he isn’t going to be here in a few months.

The same with Salah, for a long time now, there has been a lot of talk about a possible move to Saudi Arabia and you feel this latest drama just increases those chances.
