Liverpool have posted a tweet after the 3-0 FA Cup win over Southampton at Anfield on Wednesday night.
The victory earned Jurgen Klopp an FA Cup quarter-final clash against Erik ten Hag and Manchester United.
So, what did Liverpool post after the 3-0 win last night? Let’s take a look…
Liverpool make history in 3-0 FA Cup win
Well, Anfield witnessed history last night as goals from Lewis Koumas and Jayden Danns knocked Southampton out of the FA Cup.
Liverpool posted on X (previously known as Twitter) after the 3-0 win: “For the first time in our history, two players aged 18 or younger have scored in the same senior game ❤️ Take a bow, Lewis Koumas and Jayden Danns 👏”.
A special moment – to say the least.
Not only did Koumas and Danns shine against the Saints, but other talents such as Bobby Clark and James McConnell also played a huge role as Liverpool’s young guns swatted aside Championship opposition.

Given their more regular involvement in the first-team this season, it is easy to forget the pair are just 20 and 21 years of age respectively.
Jurgen Klopp is a genius
It takes a special talent to come into Liverpool’s starting XI and make things look simple, but that is also testament to Klopp’s coaching abilities.
The German has created a setup where every player knows his role – regardless of how young they are – while his obvious man management skills ensure these talents also have the confidence to carry out the job.

Hopefully, the likes of Danns and Koumas continue to get chances once Klopp leaves – it could well be Xabi Alonso who ends up making these decisions at Anfield next season.
