127 Liverpool will need a new manager this summer.
Jurgen Klopp has announced he’s leaving Anfield at the end of the season and the Reds now have the almost impossible task of finding a replacement.
One man who has been linked with the Liverpool job as of late is Roberto De Zerbi, and, by the sounds of it, he’d be a great pick.
Not only is the Italian a fantastic tactician who is doing a great job at Brighton, he also seemingly has the personality to suit this Liverpool squad.
Don’t just take our word for it though. Speaking on Brighton’s YouTube channel, James Miner has actually compared De Zerbi to Jurgen Klopp, claiming that the two managers are actually very similar in a lot of ways.

Milner spoke about his current and former manager.
“Yeah for sure they’re both genuine people. I think sometimes people can be very different in front of cameras than they are behind closed doors. They’re both approachable, passionate, desperate to win, bounce around the technical area. They want to make that tackle with you and run that last yard, that’s nice to see and that’s an important thing to see,” Milner said.
Half the battle
In management, personality is half the battle, and if De Zerbi comes into Liverpool and acts in a very similar way to Klopp, that should go down well with the squad.
Of course, it will be impossible for De Zerbi to be a carbon copy of Klopp at Liverpool, but the best managers at Anfield over the years have often been these ultra-passionate and most importantly, genuine, gaffers who care about every player and every game.
De Zerbi could be a great option for Liverpool, and this endorsement from Milner speaks volumes.
