Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has praised one Manchester United player after yesterday’s 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.
The German boss will be disappointed after his side failed to take their opportunities in Manchester.
Liverpool got off to an ideal start to the game as Luis Diaz opened the scoring midway through the first half. But the Reds should have added to their tally before the break, with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah proving to be wasteful in front of goal.
It’s fair to say that Manchester United improved dramatically after halftime and made Liverpool rue their missed chances.
Two spectacular goals handed Erik ten Hag’s men an unlikely lead by the 67th minute, with Bruno Fernandes striking first.
After a slack pass from Jarell Quansah, Fernandes spotted Caoimhin Kelleher off his line and lifted his shot over the Liverpool goalkeeper from inside the centre-circle.
Jamie Carragher has already lauded the goal as ‘out of this world’ and now Jurgen Klopp has joined the Liverpool legend in praising the £47 million man.

Speaking to Viaplay, Klopp lauded Fernandes for producing something out of the ordinary against his side.
“We knew that if we gave them one chance for a lift that they would use it and they did it in an incredible manner,” he said.
“Bruno’s goal was exceptional and you know better than anybody, these kind of mistakes happen, but not everyone is using it like they do.
“There were probably more shots from that area that miss the goal than go in and then the mood and atmosphere goes up.”

While Fernandes produced a real moment of magic for United, he struggled along with the rest of Ten Hag’s midfield in the first half.
Gary Neville admitted he couldn’t believe how bad both Fernandes and Casemiro were in the early stages of the game.
“Some of the things that Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro have done in the first half, it really is incredible for their experience,” the United legend said.
While the majority of United’s players were below par in the opening 45 minutes, their midfield looked particularly disjointed.
But in the end, it was two players in midfield who produced spectacular goals for United as Kobbie Mainoo also grabbed his first for the club at Old Trafford.
United were ultimately denied all three points by a Mohamed Salah penalty following a late challenge from Aaron Wan-Bissaka on Harvey Elliott. Yet, Ten Hag will undoubtedly be content with a point after his side rode their luck at times.
