Liverpool and Arsenal produced quite the game tonight at Anfield as they battled it out for superiority under the floodlights.
The Gunners got themselves an early lead when Gabriel scored within five minutes. However, Liverpool came roaring back and Mo Salah scored a fine equaliser to get Anfield rocking before half-time.
The second period was much of the same, as both teams looked to pinch a winner. In the end, the defences managed to come out on top, as the likes of Saliba and Van Dijk excelled.

“Konate has been exceptional. He has engaged at the right moments and won the ball. Whether it’s Havertz in the middle or Saka or Martinelli on that far side,” Warnock said.
The French defender has been a mainstay for the Reds since he arrived for £36m in May 2021.
Konate key for Liverpool
The partnership with Virgil van Dijk is going to be massive for Liverpool this season. Konate has struggled with the odd injury since he arrived but it is clear that Jurgen Klopp wants to include him whenever he can.
Alongside Van Dijk, Konate is ensuring Liverpool have a solid platform to build on and tonight he showed that he can be so crucial for the Reds.
There were times in the game tonight where he simply ushered the Arsenal forwards out of the way and as Warnock says, he did so against different types of player as well.
Liverpool will be disappointed not to have got the three points here. But, there are big positives for the Reds to take and it seems like they are right in the title mix this season.
In the end, a point is still decent. And with Konate showing the sort of form he did tonight, then there’s enough here for Liverpool to be really encouraged.
