124 It’s fair to say that Liverpool have shocked a few people this season.
After finishing fifth in the league last term, the Reds are now flying high at the top of the table and are looking good value to go on and become champions.
The Reds have been way better than many had expected them to be this season, and many of their players have exceeded expectations.
Wataru Endo has been the real surprise package at Anfield this term, while, according to Glenn Murray, speaking on the Kelly and Wrighty Show, two other Liverpool players have also exceeded expectations.
The Liverpool players who have exceeded expectations
Murray spoke about Liverpool’s performances this season, and he says that both Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley have been way better than expected.
”I feel like all of the business they did in the summer is coming to fruition. You’ve seen it coming to fruition and they have stumbled upon a couple of kids in Quansah and Bradley who have exceeded expectations when they have needed to. I think there’s a certain knowhow and a certain belief in their ranks,” Murray said.

Bradley and Quansah were playing lower-league football out on loan last season, and now, they’re playing key roles in a Premier League title challenge – that isn’t a normal trajectory for any player.
Jurgen Klopp has done something special here with how he’s coached these players and helped them develop, and while the German may not get the chance to manage these players into their peak years, he’s had an undeniable effect on these young stars’ careers.
Quansah and Bradley have been incredible this term, and this is a rise to prominence that not many will have seen coming.
