Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has given his verdict on Anfield ahead of the match against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Ten Hag has spoken highly of Anfield.

So, what has Erik ten Hag said about Liverpool’s home ground Anfield? Let’s take a look.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag comments on Liverpool’s stadium Anfield

Well, Manchester United will take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League on Sunday.

Liverpool have the better team and are in better form. It is no surprise that most pundits are backing Jurgen Klopp’s side to pick up all three points from the encounter.

Moreover, the match is at Anfield. We know that Liverpool are immensely strong at home. It is hard to see the Merseyside club drop all three points to United in front of their fans.

Ten Hag told United’s official website: “’I think everyone knows we have to be highly motivated when you go to Anfield. It is a great place to go and you know it is going to be tough.

“I think that is something which every top footballer wants, to have that challenge.

“You have to look forward and of course, last year, we have it in our memory, but you have to take the benefit from it. Learn from it. On Sunday, we can prove that.’’

A draw is the most United could get at Anfield

In my view, Manchester United should be happy with a draw against Liverpool at Anfield.

Of course, like all teams, the Red Devils would want to win, but I do not think that a draw would be a bad outcome for the visiting side.

That does not mean that United should play for a draw at Anfield. That would be really bad and could end in a hammering.

However, I believe that Erik ten Hag’s side should be happy if they pick up a point against Liverpool.
