Liverpool ran riot against Bournemouth today as they smashed in nine goals to equal the Premier League record win.
Remarkably, Mo Salah didn’t get himself on the scoring or assist sheet but there was a fine display from Bobby Firmino, while Luis Diaz also helped himself to a piece of the action. At the back, the likes of Van Dijk, Robertson and Alexander-Arnold all contributed as well in the final third.

“You can sometimes take the brilliance for granted here at Anfield. Since Carvalho has come on, every touch he’s had, the Liverpool fans have been purring. He’s only 19, but he fits in perfectly. This is pure torture for Bournemouth,” Nevin said on BBC comms today.
Carvalho was one of few arrivals at Anfield this summer but he’s already looking like being a superb signing by the club.
TBR’s View: Carvalho Perfect For Liverpool
Sometimes a player just fits in well with a club and Fabio Carvalho seems to be doing just that with the Reds.
His time as a first-team regular might come down the line a tad but for the cameos and time he is getting now he is already showing just how good he is. There is a reason Fulham were loathed to let him go, and he showed glimpses of that today.
Carvalho, like Harvey Elliott, is the future for Liverpool and Reds fans will be hoping to see far more of the former Fulham duo in the coming weeks and months.
