131 Conor Bradley has stolen most of the headlines at Liverpool recently.
The right-back has made a massive impact at Anfield since coming into the starting XI recently, and he’s been the talk of the town over the past fortnight or so.
Speaking on Liverpool’s official YouTube channel, Ray Houghton has been discussing Bradley and the emergence of Liverpool’s youngsters, and he says that while Bradley is getting most of the attention at the moment, we mustn’t forget that Curtis Jones has also been a star for this Liverpool side in recent weeks.
Can’t forget Curtis Jones
Houghton spoke about the midfielder and how well he has been playing.
“Yeah and also Curtis Jones, don’t forget Curtis Jones, he’s in the starting XI on merit and his form as of late has been exceptional. He gives us drive from that midfield area, he has an eye for goal, we’ve seen that in matches recently,” Houghton said.
The future is bright
Houghton is right, Jones is a top young player as well as Bradley, and the scary thing is that he’s not the only one.
Indeed, while Jones is someone we mustn’t forget about, we also need to keep in mind that the likes of Jarell Quansah, Harvey Elliott and Stefan Bajcetic are all also coming through, and the future at Anfield could be very exciting.
Jurgen Klopp may be leaving the club, but he’s leaving the Reds in good hands with this incredible group of young players coming through.
Liverpool are already one of the best teams in England, but once these young stars mature, they could hit another level once again.
