‘Doing really well’: Steve McManaman says Liverpool 21-year-old who's not been used for two years is brilliant

Liverpool’s young stars are making all of the headlines right now.

The likes of Bobby Clark, Jarell Quansah, Jayden Danns and Lewis Koumas are all earning all sorts of praise at the minute, but there are a number of talented young players who aren’t getting so much attention at the moment.

The likes of Stefan Bajcetic and Kaide Gordon are still very talented players bubbling away in the background, while there are also a number of talented players out on loan.

The likes of Fabio Carvalho and Luke Chambers are impressing out on loan, while Tyler Morton is also enjoying another solid season in the Championship.

Speaking on the Blood Red Podcast, Steve McManaman has reserved some praise for Morton, claiming that he is doing really well at Hull.

Tyler Morton is doing really well

McManaman spoke about the 21-year-old.

“I’ve said it on a number of occasions. You have the likes of Tyler Morton who is doing really well on loan at Hull, Fabio Carvalho is there. Luke Chambers is on loan, Owen Beck is on loan, maybe if they were here they would get the opportunity,” McManaman said.

Forgotten man

Morton has been something of a forgotten man at Liverpool as he’s not played first-team football over the past two years, but we mustn’t forget just how talented this young man looks to be.

He was brilliant for Blackburn last term and he’s carried that good form through to Hull City, and maybe, just maybe there is a role for him at Liverpool next season.

We’ve seen so many players make the step up from the Championship to the Premier League in recent years, and we wouldn’t be shocked at all if Morton does step up and make some sort of impact for Liverpool over the next 12 months.
