Arsenal head into the game in decent form after picking up a win over Brighton last week.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping to lay a marker down at Anfield on Saturday though, with the Gunners yet to beat any of the top sides away from home this term.
Indeed, Arsenal have lost to Aston Villa and Newcastle United on the road but did manage to pick up a point at Stamford Bridge in October.
As for Liverpool, it’s fair to say they put in an underwhelming display against Manchester United last time out.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were expected to beat a struggling United side comfortably. But they failed to find a breakthrough as the game ended with a goalless draw.
But Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Liverpool will pick up a 2-0 win over the Gunners on Saturday.
Agbonlahor predicts Liverpool vs Arsenal
Speaking to talkSPORT, the pundit explained why he’s backing Liverpool to pick up a huge win this weekend.
“This is a big game,” he said. “This is a game where Arsenal will look at it and say ‘you know what? We don’t mind a draw, we’ll take the draw and move forward.’
“Liverpool are strong at home. But I’m going to go with a Liverpool win. I feel like Arsenal have been amazing this season but Liverpool are starting to get form.
“They’re doing better defensively as well. Van Dijk at the back with Konate. I’m going to go with a 2-0 Liverpool win.”
This game seems to be dividing opinion, with Ian Wright backing Arsenal to pick up a rare win at Anfield.
Yet, Jamie Carragher says he can’t see his former side Liverpool losing at home to Arteta’s men.
The Gunners haven’t won at Anfield in the Premier League since 2012 and their recent record there is miserable, to say the least.
But they will fancy their chances this weekend as they head into the game full of confidence as Premier League leaders.
