Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Arsenal trio Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya.
Klopp made the comments ahead of Liverpool’s match against Arsenal this weekend.
So, what has Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said about Arsenal stars Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya? Let’s take a look.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp comments on Arsenal trio Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya
Well, Liverpool will take on Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
While I do not think that it is going to be a ‘title-decider’, given that both teams are determined to win the championship, it is a massive clash.
Liverpool will have home advantage. The Anfield crowd will have to rise to the occasion under the lights. Gary Neville thought that the home fans were a bit flat against Manchester United.
Jurgen Klopp has been speaking highly of Arsenal ahead of the match on Saturday. The Liverpool manager has namechecked Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and David Raya as players who have improved the Gunners.
Defensive midfielder Rice joined Arsenal from London and Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer of 2023.
Germany international midfielder Havertz moved to the Gunners from Chelsea in the summer of 2023, while Spain international goalkeeper Raya made the switch on loan from Brentford. All three players are likely to start against Liverpool.

“I remember our game here, they were outstanding until we found a way into the game – and then maybe in the end we should have won it. Maybe they had other chances as well, I can’t remember them, to be honest, but I can remember Ibou Konate at 2-2 with the chest half a yard in front of the goal… I am still wondering how he couldn’t score there. That was the team we faced, a super-strong team.
“That’s what they are – and you bring in Rice and Havertz and that doesn’t make you worse. Raya in goal doesn’t make you worse. Mikel built exactly the team he wanted and they are difficult to play. They are a good mix between physicality, like big, strong players, fast, good technique, very good organisation, they are really well-coached, well-drilled. You can see every year they make another step.”
My prediction: Match will end in a draw
I am predicting the match between Liverpool and Arsenal on Saturday to end in a draw. I believe that both sides will score and eventually pick up a point each at Anfield.
Liverpool are likely to start the match on the front-foot, but Arsenal are defensively mean. The Gunners have conceded 15 goals in the Premier League this season and kept a clean sheet against Brighton and Hove Albion.
