Both Diogo Jota and Bobby Clark were blown away by one Liverpool teammate in yesterday’s win at Nottingham Forest.
Although Jota was missing with his injury, Jurgen Klopp decided to start 19-year-old Clark in his midfield, another big show of faith.

That being said, Jota’s absence is definitely being felt in attack, especially with Cody Gakpo struggling to find form right now.
But with Darwin Nunez making an incredibly timely re-introduction into the team in the 60th minute, Gakpo’s inefficiencies were quickly forgotten.
Even if there wasn’t necessarily a need for a reminder of his quality against Forest yesterday, Nunez showed just how crucial he has become this year to Liverpool’s title hopes this season.
Perhaps last year in his first campaign Nunez was pretty interchangeable up top, something that has now changed.
And given this display, Nunez has just taken to Instagram to celebrate his return with a photo of just after he scored his goal.

Nunez uploaded a post with the caption: “Darwin returns! Until it’s over!”
And among a host of replies, both Jota and Clark left flame emojis celebrating how hot Nunez’s form has been this season.

Klopp’s side will play Manchester City in the league next weekend amid a Europa League tie against Sparta Praha.
Moreover, once that second leg is completed, there’s then the small matter of an FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United, another important route to a trophy in Klopp’s final season.
And although Liverpool were able to secure the win against Forest yesterday, they certainly rode their luck at times, and they will need more of their senior heads to return as soon as possible.
All that being said, Luis Suarez has also now been commenting on Darwin Nunez’s goal yesterday.
