Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez received criticism from Sky Sports pundit Andy Hinchcliffe during the Reds’ Premier League encounter with Sheffield United.
The Liverpool attacker “didn’t seem to make his mind up” when presented with a great opportunity to make it 2-0 to the Reds in the 77th minute.
Jurgen Klopp’s Reds charges went into the game at Bramall Lane hoping to keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Liverpool were up against a Blades side bottom of the Premier League but with a new manager in the dugout, Chris Wilder taking the reins once again.

Liverpool didn’t build a cushion, however, and well into the latter stages of the game, the Reds continued to lead by one solitary goal.
In the 77th minute, Nunez was played in behind by Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, Wes Foderingham raced off his line to narrow the angle and deny Nunez with his feet.
“He should have made it 0-2,” Hinchcliffe said on Soccer Special, via the Sky Sports website. “Nunez didn’t seem to make his mind up and he hit it at the goalkeeper.”
Admittedly, Nunez may have been offside with that opportunity, but nonetheless, that’s one the £140,000-a-week (Spotrac) powerhouse should be converting.
Luckily, the 24-year-old went on to redeem himself by providing the assist for Dominik Szoboszlai to finally put the game to bed in second-half injury time.
Nunez slid on Jayden Bogle to win the ball back and then crossed for Szoboszlai, in space, to double Liverpool’s lead and finally break the Blades’ resistance.
