Both Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott were left applauding the performance of one Liverpool player against Luton Town yesterday.
Jurgen Klopp went into the game knowing nothing but a win would suffice, and given Luton’s opener, it did prove to be a nervy night.

And as a result, fans will have been incredibly grateful towards their reliable captain, Virgil van Dijk, who inspired a second half comeback.
Aside from Van Dijk, there were also several other strong performances in the second half, with Alexis Mac Allister probably being the stand out.
But perhaps the performance was best defined by the likes of winger Luis Diaz, who was incredibly frustrated throughout.
However, akin to his manager’s mantra, £50m Diaz didn’t give up and his constant pressing and effort was eventually rewarded with a goal.
And following yesterday’s win against Luton, Diaz did take to Instagram to celebrate, which was well received by his Liverpool teammates.
Luis Diaz embodied Liverpool’s comeback against Luton Town yesterday
Diaz simply uploaded a collection of four photos from the game with the caption ‘Big battle today.’
And among several teammates who replied, Darwin Nunez’s message stood out in particular.
Nunez, who missed the win against Luton yesterday due to injury, was clearly overjoyed to see his Liverpool teammate get his well deserved goal.
Nunez replied: “Come on Luchito I love you a lot”, translated from Spanish.
Harvey Elliott, who was equally impressive on the night, scoring Liverpool’s fourth goal, simply replied saying “Vamos.”

And as well as the EFL Cup final on Sunday, Liverpool do also host Manchester City in a couple of weeks, a game that will be in the back of their mind.
And all that considered, it seems the club have still found time to establish a key transfer target for the summer.
